How did it start?
We know finding parts for obscure weapons is challenging; infuriating even sometimes. In an effort to reduce some of that frustration, we’re here to get you from Point A (has no part and unpleasant to be around) to Point B (has part and an absolute delight to be around).
This all started 10 years ago when family members of ours and avid NFA collectors started complaining about their struggle to locate parts for their WW1 and WW2 registered machine guns. Parts like MG-08/15 Maxim LMG Locks, MG-34 ejector plates, MP-35 Bergmann Firing Pins, and so on were drying up or non-existent at all. Firearms like these and many more were commonly seen out at range days and their owners were happy to show them off, explain their respective histories, and even give others the opportunity to operate these historically significant pieces of machinery - that many would never see outside of a museum. Seeing the frustration caused by the inability to keep these weapons operational and shared with ordinary people, it sparked what started out just as a simple question.
What if someone started a company that specifically catered to producing reproduction components to keep these historically significant machines running -Forever?
What started as a simple question, took nearly a decade of watching more parts disappear to slowly encourage us to become a solution to the problem and no longer just a spectator. We are just starting out, but are building our catalog of parts, adding to it daily. Parts will be produced as they are requested for now as we don’t have the resources to manufacture Everything we’ve 3D modeled. Our commitment is to do our best to mitigate if not eliminate the possibility of someone’s rare firearm remaining inoperable due to the impossibility of finding parts.
How does it work?
In an effort to reduce any further frustration caused to our customers by their project, we want to try
to make this process as simple as possible.
The process goes as follows:
Identify a part you need
Reach out to us and explain which part you’re looking for, the make, model, year, variant, and any other specific distinguishing attributes that are important to the design and production of the repro component.
We will review the request and consider based upon the following criteria
Current part availability?
Some customers have asked us to make them parts that are already widely available - we will not reproduce parts that are presently widely available for any reason.
Does the customer have an original part (broken parts or damaged are fine) that they can provide as reference or any technical data that may assist us in giving our customers the most accurate reproduction as possible?
While we will always prefer that our customers provide us with an original part to work from for their reproduction, it is Not always required. This is contingent on whether or not we already have said design in our catalog (some variations may require unique adaptations/modifications), or if the design can be sourced though our network of trusted contributors (Partner Program Members) to our ever growing catalog of historical weapon components.
Can Resurrected Gun Parts independently source an original part or technical data through our Partner Program that may assist us in giving our customers the most accurate reproduction possible?
In some cases we may already have the requested design in our catalog (some variations may require unique adaptations/modifications), or the design can be sourced though our network of trusted contributors to our ever growing catalog of historical weapon components.
Are there any active patents/restrictions on the reproduction of the requested part?
In some cases (many modern weapons), patents or restrictions on the reproduction of components exist that would prohibit us from providing you with a reproduction. Should this happen to be the case with your request, please know we are as equally frustrated with this as you are, but to make sure we can continue to provide our other customers with high quality reproductions we cannot make any exceptions to this policy.
Does the part requested exceed our manufacturing capabilities?
We do our absolute best to work with the best designers and independent manufacturers to provide our customers with the highest quality reproductions available. However, if we feel that the resources we have at our disposal cannot provide you with a product that lives up to a standard of Detail, Durability, and Historically Accurate Design, we WILL NOT accept your business. We will NEVER take your money knowing ahead of time that we cannot provide you with the kind of high quality product our customers have come to expect.
Once the above criteria are evaluated, we will contact you with our decision. If approved, we will provide a detailed quote including estimated costs, timeline, and any additional information needed. Upon your approval, our team will begin the reproduction process, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and devotion to historical accuracy. Upon completion, the part will be thoroughly tested for quality and functionality before being shipped to you. We are committed to reviving the legacy of historical firearms while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and integrity.
